PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY. BY REGISTERING OR USING THE SITE, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO THESE GUIDELINES. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE RULES, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SITE. Failure to follow the below guidelines may result in your post being deleted, threads being locked/deleted and possibly your account being banned. Breaking the rules gets you an infraction (aka a Warning). If you persist in being really annoying, your account will be IP banned and any future accounts likewise banned. The rules can be summarized simply like this: "Don't be a jerk" However, if you are naturally a jerk, or if you just want the specifics, here's a handy list of rules: No foul or abusive language will be tolerated. Period. It has no place in our community. Attempts to disguise bad language or bypass the language filters will not be tolerated. If you disagree with us and don't think we should be restricting your language then we respectfully ask that you simply do not become a member of our community. Have a point. If your post doesn't add anything relevant or helpful to a thread (ie: "lol", "haha", "smh", "do a search!"), or is off-topic, you're better off just not replying at all. Be civilized. Don't troll, flame or threaten violence against users. If you disagree with something, say so and why. If you really, really hate someone, send them an email or abuse them via instant message, instead of posting pics of your gun collection and that you know how to use it. Don't derail a thread just to call someone a moron. Being all "gangsta" and "thuggin'" isn't civilized; those accounts will have a short lifespan here. Speaking of being civilized... Write like a reasonably intelligent person. Make your subject clear, not "OMG HELP LULZ". If people have to struggle to read your posts, they probably won't. if u write like ths u mite find urself in srs trouble LOL Don't ask for or offer illegal stuff. This includes drugs, cracks, warez, bootlegs, copyrighted music and video files, how to commit insurance/warranty fraud, underage drinking, stealing devices, etc. If you wouldn't be comfortable doing it in front of a judge, don't do it here. No sexual references. If you wouldn't see it on the front page of the Sunday paper, don't post it here. This includes avatar and userbar images as well. No Politics/Religion. Political/religious discussions are touchy subjects. They often result in flaring tempers and flame wars. We all have our own views, and this isn't the place to convince others your way is THE way. No hiptop Bashing. This is an online community for Danger enthusiasts. It will naturally have a pro-hiptop bias. It's simple. If you don't like the hiptop, Danger, or your carrier and wish to discredit us with your rants and opinions, then don't be a member of our community. Your posts will not be tolerated. You will not be allowed to wage your personal crusade against whomever in our online community. Go someplace else. No 3rd party support or discussions of any kind. Discussion threads for support or info for a 3rd party device (a Nokia, Blackberry, Motorola, iPhone, etc...) are not allowed. Topics as to why myspace isn't loading, why your hipalbum avatar doesn't work, or why one of the billions of webpages on the net isn't working are not allowed as well. Either contact the site you are having problems with, or visit a forum that discusses the device you are interested in. No advertising or spamming. It is our goal to keep the online community free from advertising and spam. We do not allow companies or individuals to actively market products, services, or websites to board members. Hiptop related sites are allowed on a case by case basis. Items for sale/trade/want ads are only allowed in the Marketplace Forum once you have made 50 posts, and only Danger Powered Devices are allowed. No "Wanna be my buddy" or chat room threads. There's a ton of websites out their made explicitly for this. If you're looking to find a new chat buddy or whatever, visit a community site intended for such a thing. This isn't a dating service. Threads requesting pics, for users to 'holla at u', 'hit you up', etc. will be removed. Images in signatures You are allowed to post a SINGLE userbar in your signature. Image must be 350 pixels wide x 19 pixels tall (350x19) or smaller. Animated userbars are allowed. Please keep the file size reasonable. + For tutorials on creating your userbar, as well as an easy to use animator, visit Userbars.com & Userbar Animator Relay Apps. You may notice a few relay applications in the download catalog on your hiptop. Relay is a telecommunication application designed to aid in the communication between deaf and hearing people. Any users posting about the abuse of these apps/services will not be taken lightly. Any post made by a user indicating that they use relay in such a manner will be erased and the author warned/banned. Developer related discussions are not allowed. That's what Danger Developer Zone: Home is for. Don't bump threads. If your thread died, it's probably because there wasn't any useful content in it, or nobody cared. Either add something useful to it or let it die. FYI, "BUMP" is not something useful. Report responsibly If you see someone breaking the rules, please use the "report post" button that is on every post. We appreciate being given the heads up on troublemakers. However, please don't abuse it, as we will not appreciate that. Duplicate accounts are not allowed. Do not taunt happy fun ball. The poweredbydanger.com admins reserve the right to remove any post/thread or edit any post without any prior notice or reason for doing so. If we find it inappropriate, we'll remove it. If you post in the wrong forum, we'll move it. If users complain about you, we may ban you. |
