SKLX Crashes and resets everything

I've had my SKLX for about 2 months and its never done this before. Its not the internet browser, I never use it. I was simply typing out a text message, and the phone reset itself, deleting EVERYTHING. All my contacts, personal info and settings, basically it performed a hard reset on itself. Thank goodness I had my important numbers on my SIM so I could still call people, also for the longest time I only had the two dots and just recently got it back to the G. Whats wrong? i don't wanna have to buy another 400 dollar phone... please help. -Uncemister

Sounds like you just had a OS Crash. It happens. When it does, a hard reset can occur whips the device's data out.

BUT... all of that data is backed up to the backend service. So once you get a full data connection back, all of your data will automatically download back to your device.

Oh wow lol its already fixed itself I sent myself an email to my phone and everything is back, but thanks for the info, appreciate it =D

MINE JUST DID IT TOO! Scared the **** out of me, and I noticed the contacts and everything returned tho, like appletech has explained, but all of my bookmarks are gone, which kind of frustrates me, bc I had a dozen links to random things that will take hours to find again. Oh well, guess it could be much worse. However, I lost a lot of picture messages I never saved, but that's my own fault. Question tho, and there's probably a simple answer, lol, but how come it clears the text messaging, and picture messaging, but not the emails?

My LX hasn't performed the hard reset on itself. But all day yesterday and for most of today I was stuck on 2 dots

My txt and sms messages all returned along with the bookmarks. Funny how as soon as you mark things off as an "L", it kind of works its way out, and you feel stupid.

I've had mine since november I think and it just started randomly resetting this month. Usually it does it when I lose service and 2dot for a while or the device doesn't want to send/rcv pix msgs and it will reset. It happened 2 times in the past week or so and its starting to p!ss me off. Its pretty inconvenient having to wait a good 15 mins for your s**t to come back. Grrr

Don't worry, everything comes back when data service is restored. I lost my bookmarks, texts, address book, themes and games... MyFaves wasn't even working! But after a while it came back; that's the good news. The bad news is that these server and device outages are really unacceptable. I think the Sidekick is overpriced for what it is (they could be at least $50-100 cheaper) and it has so many bugs and Danger server outages.
