hmm...quick question. i'm on a plan with 3 lines (including myself) one of those lines is eligible for the upgrade on the new LX. can i order and upgrade with that line and use MY current sidekicks SIM card in it? or no?

Yea discount or not the tax you on the full value of the phone, that's how they did it when I worked there a few yrs back, like you get a free phone but still pay 15 in taxes, cause no matter what the discount they tax you for the full retail price

You're taxed only what you are paying. My wife's upgrade was $249 (plus the $50 mail-in rebate, so eventually $199). So I was taxed on the $249 purchase price, $22 total.

Device: $249
Upgrade Fee: $18
Shipping: $6.00
Tax: $22.00

Total: $295

Less $50 Mail in rebate for final upgrade price of $245.
