FYI-I wasn't cranky nor was I complaining. If that had been the case then I wouldn't have actually ANSWERED the posters question. It's too bad a persons tone of voice doesn't come across well in the typed word, the fact that I was merely annoyed would have come across loud & clear.

Anyhoo...I still think a FAQ thread like the one on the tmobile/sidekick forum would be a big help on this site. It would be a one stop shop for all the new members who are signing up just because of the outage.

I hard reset a few times and let my phone die, thinking that the problem was local and I was unaware that there was a data outrage and this happened between friday and Saturaday and now I was told not to do that and I wanted my contact back.

That's true, but if people utilized the "SEARCH" button instead of the "New Thread" button there would be a lot less repeating, maybe some day, but that's expected when you get new users cause T-Mobile has an outage for a week or however long it's been lol

Or at the very least read the sticky at the top of the subforum!

And it's not like these topics are buried on the 12th page either. I'm guessing people open the thread, see that it's 80+ pages long and say to themselves 'nuh-uh, I'm not reading all that! I'm gonna make my own post so I can get my answer right away!'

And PrincessTrisha, if you think a FAQ would be a good idea, why not try writing one up? It might even get stickied.

Haha I don't know about that one buddy. I feel sorry for those who actually depend on getting their emails for business reasons..

Nice you got it back that's good.

The sync issue had fixed for me, then the outage happened.
I had gotten everything back to my phone, but then all my services were gone but calls and texts.
I called tmo cc just the other day and got a $19.99 credit, and I've only been with them for a year.
They said they've been working around the clock to fix the outage, and that internet should come back first then everything should follow.

Wonder what happened exactly... a hacker, an experimental test, an improvement...?

Btw I didn't have to log in, and I didn't lose anything when the outage happened. And a soft reset didn't effect anything.
