I did that a couple of time with success. With my girls sidekick and friends sidekicks.

Go to menu/settings/system info.
Once you're in systems info
You will press menu+shift+r to erase log-in info. Then press menu+shift+x to erase memory flash.
Both need to be done in system info.
Then powercycle your device. Once its completely on it will tell you to log in to your device.
Your screen name should already be there all you will need to do is type in your password.

Once you're completely logged in your device loggin to tmobile.com and start the steps to retreive your info.

Hope that works for you.
If it doesn't im sorry.
Nope that didn't work... Thanks anyway..

"Sorry—we're not able to retrieve your information at this time. Please continue to check www.t-mobile.com/sidekick for the latest updates on our recovery efforts."

Once again nothing for me... I'm done for good. Goodbye Sidekick, possibly T-Mobile.

When I go to the website, I don't see the option for restoring my calendar, to do lists, and notes. Could this be because I restored my contacts a few weeks ago when that first message came out? I only restored my contacts though, I still have all my other stuff that I need back.

Edit: sorry, I see it now. A goof on my part. Thanks.

Here are the issues I'm having with my Sidekick now as either a result of last month's outage, or this week's OTA update.
Any suggestions on resolving the following, Appletech:
Issues Resulting From Last Month's Outage:
1. Lost saved emails under external email tabs (AOL and Gmail)
Issues Resulting From The OTA Update This Week:
1. Successfully installed the OTA update this week when prompted to do so. However, after OTA finished installing and my LX09 restarted:
- All my bookmarks were gone except for 3 or 4
- I have the Mobile Journal application installed on my Sidekick. After the OTA update this week, my Mobile Journal account seems to be wiped out. The application itself is still on my Sidekick. However, the account that I created is gone. Thus, I have no access to all the entries I had created in my Mobile Journal (important notes from my visits to the doctors, etc).
- All of my feeds in My Newsroom got wiped out.
I called Customer Care the other day and they said that my Mobile Journal account should come back up once the Catalog has been restored.
They also said my bookmarks should come back after the Catalog has been restored. I asked them what the Catalog has to to with my bookmarks, and they said something about the switch from Google to Bing?
Any advice, Appletech?

So will all my information just show up or will I have to restart my device after the sync is complete?

Once you request the sync, the data will show up on its own. No restart is required.
