Default 16GB microsd card full of music

Anyone have a lot of music on their 16gb or 8gb full of mp3s?
If so does media player take a long time to scan those files before playing?
I wouldn't want to use a seperate mp3 player anymore because I hate having a lot of stuff in my pockets.

I have an 8gb with 387 songs its not a lot but the list is growing. It doesn't take long for it to scan the songs either

Ok good because I filled up my card and it was slow,
I was wondering if the sidekick had problems with a lot of files on the card. Thank you!

Mine was slow the first time I put the card in I guess its the initial read of the card. After the first time it shouldn't be like that. Maybe (don't panic) you should do a soft reset

Yeah I notice if you see the memory card icon blinking on top, you can go into media player and u might see the player trying to either scan for files or index files and that slows the sidekick down. If you have a lot of streams in the media player from watching youtube (multiple links in media player from one stream video), you'l end up with a lot of streams like 500 unless you clear it often.
