T-mobile blaming my problems on the handset

I filed complaints with the BBB & FCC about the shoddy service that I've been getting for the past month or so since the outage. I got a call from T-mobile concerning my complaint and the lady told me that everything lost in the outage has been recovered and that I shouldn't be experiencing trouble with my phone. She recommended that I go to my.t-mobile.com to restore my data (which I have already done). But she failed to realize that my issue wasn't with the recovered data, but with the fact that I still don't have bookmarks, old picture messages, and most importantly I still have the issue of my phone not alerting me for text/ picture messages. She said anything that is wrong with my phone at this point is due to issues with the handset and that I need to buy a new one???

To make sure it's not ME who is losing my mind, I need some confirmation that my handset is not at fault for the missing alerts, bookmarks, and mms messages.

Still don't have book marks either. I haven't been receiving many texts lately I dnt know if that's due to people not texting or them not going through.

lost all my pictures today. catalog doesnt work. i dont get notified when a text comes in. nor does it show the persons name. gladly they recovered my contacts n notes . but im still mad w. the service. i dont know what phone to switch to or even switch company. i am lost =[ and upset. specially for all the pictures i had.

What are you trying to get for putting in a complaint to BBB?

From my recollection, the phone not alerting text for certain people its been a problem for quite some time already. Which im starting to think myself gots to do with some thing those certain people are doing to their devices. I've also heard people devices starting to receive alerts again after they didn't. Soooo, some thing is up.

About the bookmarks, everything is been coming back slowly but surely. So why not give some time for them to come back?

Bookmark (and I believe SMS/MMS) information has not been recovered yet.

In your SMS and MMS apps, have you set the alert to a default alert that came with the device? Have you tried changing to different alerts to see if anything different occurs with them set? What alerts do you have currently set for these two apps?

To get the sms alerts to come back. try taking the sim card and battery off maybe for half an hour if you can. and it will come back. I just did this and it worked for me.. (still no pictures though) =[ lol

How damn patient do we have to be tho? Its been at least a month with these damn issues that we shouldn't have to go thru at all!!

I don't think I can even call this being patient anymore. I'd call it being tolerant.


I haven't gotten my bookmarks yet; I don't know anyone who has...I'm not sure if we'll even get that back :|

Hopefully I'll get my **** back...and if I don't...well then, I guess that's just too bad. Still not leaving my Sidekick or T-mobile though (:

"They were saved to my memory card and all of a sudden 2 days ago they were gone." Im still hoping they come back but, I doubt it. I did leave them my tmo email to see if they send them back to me.

I had a few on the device also but those were gone soon after the sidekick outage. =[
