i posted this in community and discussion but wanted to spread the word so i'm reposting here as well.
i got an odd email that says it is from T-Mobile with the subject line "shared file - WapShare.us" with an attachment. the minute i opened it my phone reset. i thought maybe i had just not reset it in a while, but that was still weird. so after all my settings came back i went to open it once more to see if that was what caused the reset. sure enough, my phone master resetted. i'm not sure what this is doing to my sidekick but hopefully it will let me delete it easily and i won't have a problem. i just hope this isn't going to become a problem going around. we always thought sidekicks were untouchable virus-wise, so WATCH OUT. i'll attach a screen shot as well. spread the word not top open this email!!

Seems strange. I wonder if anyone else got it.

successfully deleted. i wanted to try and open it via desktop interface to see who sent it and what the attachment was but didn't want to take a chance. either way, it's gone.

that's what I thought too but I don't post my tmail anywhere online and just the fact that even opening it caused a hard reset is weird.

I've seen this posted in at least 3 places now, and I think it was just a random coincidence. The sidekick OS is so closed that there is no way random email could somehow cause a hard reset in your device.
Seriously, there is no way this is possible. It'll just spread false rumors of a nonexistent sidekick virus.
