OTA - what exactly does the new one offer??

I haven't received the current OTAU update yet.

But can someone explain what exactly it changes on the device?

TMO's 10/31 update simply states: "all Catalog application data will now be more securely backed up in the Microsoft / Danger systems."

Their statement doesn't seem to take into account that I'm *missing* application data. What good is it to offer more secure back up when I have little to back up? Nearly a week ago TMO reps basically claimed the upcoming OTA would bring back my bookmarks and solve all my other data troubles. Was this a lie?

Is there an email or page that outlines exactly what the OTA does and/or how it helps with the data problem that has been happening for over a month now?

Well I got the update today and I haven't noticed anything different on my phone, still no applications nor catalog. Who knows when we'll be getting all our stuff back!

good question, i got my about three days ago and the only thing ive noticed its changed is my internets search ingine from google to bing..

Got my OTA update today. Haven't noticed a single difference.

And you won't see a difference. The OTA was just to stabilize the back end or something along those lines. I wish they'd send an email explaining the OTA like they usually do.

I just got my OTA @ 8:45am in Sacramento CA....4 my lx 09 nd all my community apps are unsually faster...like b4 the twitter app would freeze and lag a lot but it hasn't even frozen at all im enjoying this. even the internet is faster im posting this up from my phone. My facebook app my fave is lightning fast a much better improvement on loading..I wish they could've added new features as well.

I got my update last night and i have no difference =( and i dont have no clue wht it helps....my phone was actually good without it becasue i could see my myFaves and i could also see the names of the people i'm txting....sigh* but now since i got that random update everything went back to the way it really was

I got it today to....im just impressed all my bookmarks weren't gone again. But the net is faster. Facebook app loads faster to. Would love to have message sentinel back. So danger, hurry up with the catalog already....
