Default Restore "Calendar, Notes, and more" now available

I just logged into My T-Mobile, and to the right of the picture of the LX Carbon, was a button which said "Restore your info" and "Restore contacts, calendar, notes, and more to your Sidekick."

I clicked the button and it took me to a screen which said:

Quote:
Restore your Sidekick information

Microsoft/Danger has successfully recovered information for most Sidekick users following the recent outage. If you lost information, please follow the steps below to restore the information.

Microsoft/Danger continues its efforts to recover other lost content, which may be available in the future. We will communicate more details about this to you at www.t-mobile.com/sidekick.

Restore personal information

Select the items you would like to restore below, then click the “Sync” button. The content will be synced automatically to your Sidekick.

I would like to restore my:
[ ] Calendar
[ ] To-do list
[ ] Notes
I chose all the items and clicked the Sync button and the screen updated to say that it may take two hours for the information to be sync'd. So I'm waiting to see whether my information will actually come back. I'm also curious what's going to happen with the notes given that I had 47 or 48 notes before losing everything and now have 5 notes. I've backed up the notes so I suppose I should delete them so the 50 notes limit doesn't cause issues.

[Edit: It appears that my notes, to-do items, and calendar items have successfully been re-sync'd with my LX and Desktop Interface, though I haven't looked through everything to verify. I didn't delete the existing 5 notes before the sync happened and it appears to have restored 45 of my old notes. I'm not sure what happens with the 2 or 3 other notes which wouldn't fit given the 50 note limit.]

[Edit #2: I just noticed that the info was posted on the T-Mobile Forums, looks like last night: http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/Help-H...09/td-p/248428 ]

Anyone else see the Restore your info button on My T-Mobile? Anyone else tried it?

just tried again and it worked this time... after you click the 3 to do, calender, and notes it refreshes and has this message underneath the sync bar

"We’re in the process of restoring your to-do list. Please allow up to two hours for the information to be restored to your Sidekick. We’re in the process of restoring your calendar information. Please allow up to two hours for the information to be restored to your Sidekick. We’re in the process of restoring your notes. About time! I had one important note that had passwords to every email account and sites I belong to in it. Would be nice to have that back. Then I'll send it to a SOLID server...like googles...

anyone know if we can download these items as files like we did with the contacts? I'd like to have a local backup.

The way the OP explained it most likely is not going to be in files.
Seems like its just going to sync to our devices.

What about those of us who lost our saved emails under external email tabs? During the outage I never lost my contacts, notes, etc. The only thing I lost in the outage was my saved emails under my AOL and Gmail tabs.

Admins, mods----will there be a fix for this?

And what about those of us who got the OTA update this week and lost our bookmarks as a result?

I would assume that emails from external POP accounts, which as we know are NOT part of the desktop interface, will not be returning. The premise has always been (as I understand it) that you set your gmail/aol/ etc to retain a copy of those emails.

I've asked about bookmarks. will let you know when/if I learn more.
