Is this the case for anyone else? Yes, I have also tried to do the hard reset (without losing any of my contacts).

None of the people that lost all their stuff during the outage have gotten their bookmarks back.
They're supposedly working on getting them back...it's been more than a month...soo...it's apparently not going so well :/

When bookmarks are back, it will be announced.
So just wait it out. Be patient. Every thing else is been coming back lil by lil.

Where you hear this from? And how can you back it up?

I did not lose my bookmarks during the initial outage, but did lose them more than several weeks ago after the SK did a reset on its own.
A few days ago, as mentioned in another thread, I did a hard reset and my bookmarks reappeared. However, they were all under the "unfiled" folder. My previous folders were gone (but not the bookmarks that were in them). I haven't yet had time to analyze all the 'marks to see what may be missing, but the bulk of them seem to be there. My SK froze up yesterday and I had to do a hard reset and I still had the bookmarks when I got everything back up and running. Since they seem to have methods of recovering lost data, it seems like there is less of a risk of doing a hard reset at this stage, although doing a reset now is at your own risk. I lose things like device SMS msgs and MMS msgs whenever a hard reset happens. |

I'm guessing that they are gone for good. I had been recreating my bookmarks since I lost them during the infamous outage. My phone reset itself a couple weeks ago (Big red X across the screen), and when it restarted, I had lost all my info again but the contacts, emails & pictures came back after 30 minutes or so...but my newly recreated bookmarks had been wiped out again. So I started recreating my bookmarks AGAIN...but about a day later ALL the bookmarks I had recreated had resynced back to my phone.
I got a replacement phone shipped to me this week, and the same thing happened again. Once I got the replacement phone up and running, my bookmarks resynced to my new phone. So obviously the systems are able to resync the bookmark data, and since the old bookmarks haven't returned...it's my guess that they old ones are gone for good...although I'd love to get them back, as I'm sure I've forgotten to add some important ones back to my phone. |
