  • T-Mobile Sidekick iD launch partay

  • April 13, 2007
  • Customization was crucial for over 1,000 partygoers who gathered to celebrate the launch of the new T-Mobile Sidekick iD, the latest Sidekick that puts the emphasis on individuality. Celebrities and socialites could change the mood of the party as easily as they could change the colors and styles on the latest addition to the Sidekick family.

Those feeling playful had their choice of having a blast with high-tech video games or taking it easy with low-tech board games. Ian Ziering and Shane West took on all challengers in air hockey, looking for someone they could beat.

Along with customizing their party experience, guests had the chance to customize their personal styles through make-your-own tshirt and jewelry stations. Or they could get a henna tattoo and further alterations from the staff of makeup artists and stylists on hand from Too Faced Cosmetics and Floyd's Barber Shop.

Once transformed many assembled in the photo shoot area to pose for mock magazine covers, as you can see below.

Dancers had the pleasure of finding DJ Steve Aoki and The MisShapes spinning at the turntables. Later, Fall Out Boy took the stage and rocked the house while fans fought to the front of the stage.

  • D-Wade T-Mobile Sidekick 3 Makes TV Appearance

  • February 25, 2007
  • In place of the man himself, the Dwayne Wade T-Mobile Sidekick 3 appeared on the Best Damn Sports Show Period, as the favorite device of former NBA star John Salley. Salley spent the beginning of the show bragging that Wade had sent him the device upon request, exclaiming to the camera "I'm telling everybody I got my Sidekick!"

  • Miami Meets Vegas at D-Wade Launch Party

  • February 17, 2007
  • For one night in February, Las Vegas was transformed as desert sand was replaced with, well, a different kind of sand entirely, bringing the soothing atmosphere of South Beach, Miami to a private launch event filled with palm trees, tropical gardens and cascading waterfalls.

Only D-Wade could bring South Beach and several hundred of his close friends together in Vegas. They were gathered to celebrate the launch of the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, D-Wade Edition. If you didn't notice the decor was inspired by the design of this Danger-powered device, the T-Mobile Sidekicks floating inside dazzling tropical fish tanks probably would have clued you in.

Why design a Sidekick anyway, D-Wade?

"My T-Mobile Sidekick is a part of me. I don't go anywhere without it because it keeps me in touch with the most important people in my life," said Wade. "I really wanted to design a Sidekick that meant something special to me - one that reflects my own personal style and inspiration.”

Once done admiring the sleek white look and copper accents of the new Sidekick, those attending quickly turned to admiring each other. Nas and Kelis were spotted lounging in the white cabanas spread throughout the event. Mekhi Phifer and Michael Bay enjoyed a freshly hand-rolled cigar as Danny Masterson and Chris Evans shot hoops on custom Pop-a-Shots nearby. Brooke Hogan indulged her sweet tooth with chocolate strawberries as guests such as Brody Jenner and his friends created special memories of the event, taking pictures in the photo booth. To the delight of the crowd, Grammy-winner will.i.am took to the stage with a rousing performance featuring surprise guests Ludacris, Ciara, Nas, and Kelis. Following the live set, DJ AM led the party late into the night, spinning music that kept Kim Kardashian on the dance floor all night.
